NOOD
Breast Massage, Message
Breast massage is the ultimate self-love ritual for giving you + your gals some much-needed TLC, all while supporting healthy breast tissue, skin health, and size (more on that in a second).
Reconnecting with your body on a deeper level is therapeutic no matter what phase of life you’re in. Spending that one-on-one time with your breast-ie besties will leave you feeling confident and empowered—"this is my body and its pretty f-ing amazing” vibes.
On a physical note, mindful massaging relieves sore muscles and secretes oxytocin, a feel-good hormone that instantly relaxes us. Stimulating the breast tissue and glands takes a lot off your chest—literally. Massaging the breasts also breaks down stagnant tissue and boosts blood flow. (New moms, this can help make breastfeeding less painful too!)
Fenugreek Oil for Fuller Breasts
A secret ingredient we’ve been incorporating into our breast care rituals for a while now is fenugreek oil. Studies have found this under-the-radar herb to have hair, skin, and (yep, you guessed it) breast benefits. For breastfeeding women, fenugreek helps increase milk supply.
For those not breastfeeding, using fenugreek oil in your massage can naturally increase breast firmness and size by 1–2 cups. Kristine, a holistic healing creator, shared that fenugreek oil works because it’s a hormonally active herb. Its natural estrogen content makes breasts appear larger by increasing mammary gland size. The result? Plumper, firmer boobies the ~all natural~ way.
The Ritual
There is no wrong way to massage your breasts. But there is a Nood and improved way. All it takes is around 15 to 20 minutes to reap the benefits. In the meantime, prep your space and set the mood—candles, dim lighting, and blending together your fenugreek and castor oil (a few drops of each to start, adding more if needed). You can massage solely with fenugreek oil if you like, but castor oil also supports lymph flow and healthy breast tissue.
Start the massage by taking off your bra (say less) and cupping your breasts in each hand. Begin massaging in a circular motion, moving from the nipples towards the armpits with small pumping movements to stimulate lymphatic drainage. Go gentle and take in any sensation that feels good—you don’t need much pressure to detox the lymph nodes and relax the muscles. Focus on each breast for about 10 minutes each, showing them love in whatever way feels good.
P.S. If your breasts are too sore for massage or you prefer the convenience of an oil pack, I love these organic cotton pads. Use them with castor and fenugreek oil for the best breast benefits. You can alternate between using one in the morning and the other at night to maintain full benefits each day.
